Description:
Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle, with a willingness to transport clients as needed is a requirement. The travel expectation is that you can drive to a client as far west as Rochelle, south to Somonauk, east to Route 47 Elburn/Maple Park, and north to Pingree Grove. Availability Requirement M-F and every other weekend 7am-2pm; orM-F and every other weekend 2pm-10pm; orM-F and every other weekend 8am-8pm (if looking for full-time hours) Duties- Provide one-on-one care to clients, including assistance with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.- Support clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication management, and housekeeping.- Develop and implement personalized care plans that cater to each client's unique needs and preferences.- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.- Provide transportation to appointments and errands as needed.- Maintain a clean and organized living space, adhering to our organization's standards for cleanliness and safety.- Build strong relationships with clients and their families, providing emotional support and companionship.- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and address any concerns or issues that may arise. Skills- Knowledge of ADLs and the ability to assist with daily living activities.- Ability to work effectively in a home care setting, including managing challenging behaviors.- Experience working with seniors is preferred.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
