About the facility A facility is seeking a cardiothoracic surgeon for locum tenens coverage. About the clinician's workday Credentialing takes 30-45 days. Candidates who can commit to 7-10 day stretches are preferred. Board Certification is required, and candidates need at least 2 years of experience with sufficient case logs. Additionally, candidates must have an active SC license, CSR, and DEA certification. The position involves call duty and OR coverage. The facility performs 400 heart procedures and 100 TAVRs annually. The ideal candidate should have experience in cardiac procedures, including TAVRs, and ideally, experience with lung procedures and robotic lung surgeries would be beneficial. The hospital provides support with 5 APPs, including 4 PAs and 1 NP who works in the unit.
