This position also performs remote device checks. Responsible for accurate documentation and charging in the electronic medical record, as well as maintaining an accurate database of patients inPaceMate. The Device Specialist delivers an exceptional patient experience while delivering safe, team based care in collaboration with the physician and other members of the care team.RequirementsEducational RequirementsDegree/Diploma ObtainedProgram of StudyRequired/ Preferredand/orHigh School Diploma or EquivalentRequiredAdditional RequirementsGraduate of a diploma, associates or baccalaureate academic program in a health science (cardiovascular, ultrasound, radiology, nursing, or a formal device management training program) Required.Experience RequirementsMinimum Years RequiredArea of ExperienceRequired/ Preferredand/or2 YearsClinical Cardiac Device ManagementPreferredAdditional RequirementsMinimum of two years' experience working in a device clinic or working in the field for a cardiac device manufacturer. Advanced cardiac rhythm interpretation required. Will accept new graduate of a recognized cardiac device management training program (Prep MD, ATI, or similar).State of Florida Licensure RequirementsLicensesRequired/ Preferredand/orRegistered Cardiovascular Invasive SpecialistPreferredorRegistered Nurse LicensePreferredAdditional RequirementsCertifications/Registration RequirementsCertificates/RegistrationsRequired/ Preferredand/orBLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support)RequiredAdditional RequirementsCCDS through IBHRE preferred, should be willing to obtain within 3 years of hire.Proficiency in electronic medical record documentation required.
