Job Overview The Campus Recruiter identifies and attracts top talent from universities and colleges to join Macy's Internship and Executive Development Programs. They collaborate with hiring managers and teams to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies. This role requires a dynamic individual who builds strong relationships with academic institutions, students, and internal stakeholders to ensure a robust pipeline of future retail professionals. Additionally, the Campus Recruiter manages the summer internship experience, ensuring it is engaging and beneficial for both interns and the organization. What You Will Do Develop and execute comprehensive campus recruiting strategies to attract top-tier talent for various roles across Macy's various business functions. Plan and coordinate engaging campus recruiting events, such as career fairs, information sessions, and networking events, to promote Macy's as an employer of choice. Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with university career centers, faculty, student organizations, and diversity groups to enhance Macy's campus presence and candidate pool. Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and assess candidates' qualifications for suitability within Macy's. Coordinate interview schedules, manage candidate pipelines, and ensure timely communication between candidates and hiring teams throughout the recruiting process. Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and recruiting activities in the applicant tracking system (ATS). Manage the summer internship program, ensuring a valuable and engaging experience for interns, including onboarding, training, mentoring, and planning intern networking and give-back events. Collaborate closely with the HR team and hiring managers to continuously improve campus recruiting strategies, processes, and candidate experience. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in campus recruiting to ensure Macy's strategies remain innovative and effective. Skills You Will Need Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with university stakeholders, student organizations, and prospective candidates. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey the employer brand and opportunities to candidates and stakeholders. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to efficiently manage multiple recruiting events, interview schedules, and candidate pipelines. Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust recruiting strategies based on evolving business needs, campus dynamics, and industry trends. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges in recruiting, such as candidate shortages or competitive talent landscapes. Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to utilize data and metrics for evaluating recruiting strategies and making well-informed decisions. Team Collaboration: Experience collaborating with hiring managers, HR teams, and stakeholders to align recruiting efforts with organizational goals. Results Orientation: Drive to achieve recruiting targets and deliver high-quality candidates who contribute to retail business success. Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 3-5 years of prior work experience, preferably in talent acquisition or human resources. Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision. Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs.
