DEPARTMENT: Technical Services LOCATION: Niagara Falls, New York SALARY: $19 per hour JOB NUMBER: 2024INT-SUM-CAD DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES : Opportunity to join an industry leader and trusted first choice in remedial construction and environmental dredging. Founded as a general construction business in 1917, Sevenson entered the remediation business in 1979 when it became the principal contractor for the remediation of the Love Canal site, Niagara Falls, New York. Sevenson is a nationally recognized environmental remediation contractor, ranked No. 4 on Engineering and News Record in the country, working with clients to remediate contaminated sites across the United States. We are actively seeking and ambitious and detail orientated CAD Technician/Designer intern to support our Niagara Falls Office. This summer position will provide CAD design and civil support to our many projects. Local candidates only, no relocation available . The daily duties typically include : Prepare quantity/volume takeoffs for remedial project estimating Support design-build projects Prepare site layouts/grading plans Prepare 3D surface models and prepare cross-sections and 2D data presentations Prepare as-built surveys and drawings Assist projects with survey and engineering field issues Prepare water treatment plant process flow diagrams, single line electrical drawings, sheet pile/shoring alignment and profile drawings, and construction drawings with support from engineering SKILLS/EXPERIENCE :Currently enrolled in a college program working towards a degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or similar program.
