Job Overview: The CAD Designer will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for commercial construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural and structural design principles, as well as knowledge of construction methods and materials. The ideal candidate will have experience in the commercial construction sector and a passion for delivering high-quality designs that meet project specifications and client expectations. Key Responsibilities: Develop detailed CAD drawings for commercial construction projects, including plans, sections, details, and specifications. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements and ensure designs meet specifications. Review and modify existing CAD drawings based on client feedback or changes in project scope. Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulations, including local building codes and safety requirements. Maintain an organized database of project drawings and documentation. Assist in conducting site visits to gather measurements and assess project needs. Participate in design reviews and coordinate with other team members to resolve design issues. Keep up to date with advancements in CAD technology and construction practices. Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a CAD Designer, preferably in the commercial construction or related industry. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and other design tools. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with construction planning and project management software. Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and materials.
