Sun East Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a Business Relationship Manager to join our Lending Department. The Business Relationship Manager is responsible for acquiring and retaining a portfolio of commercial credit union clients. This position will conduct relationship review meetings where opportunities are identified for commercial loan and deposit products, and traditional credit union products and services. This role has day to day responsibility for the delivery of superior member service, operational integrity and adherence to credit union policy as well as all state and federal regulations. Schedule requirements for this position would be Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. There will be some weekends / nights as needed for community events. Position requires being onsite 100% during introductory 90-day period, then will go to hybrid which is at least 3 days a week in office or branch location. Travel to all branch locations will be required rESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare, review and analyze the creditworthiness of all commercial loan applications and renewals. In partnership with MBFS (Business CUSO) processes and supports credit requests within approved loan policies, consistent with Sun East's lending Prepare written Credit Memorandums for presentation and approval. Evaluate financial statements, historical trends, projections, management performance, industry, cash flow, capital structure and collateral analysis. Oversee and review ordering, reviewing and analyzing of reports (credit, environmental, appraisal, and property evaluations). Follow-up and fulfill financial reviews required on Business Loans. Perform various departmental functions, including loan covenant monitoring, risk rating, stress testing and audit preparation. Establish day-to-day business practices to build an ongoing small business services department within the credit union. Work in partnership with the Marketing department to create a viable marketing plan and monitor the effectiveness. Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and annual goals. Meets established loan and relationship goals. Communicates and champions the Business Lending program across the organization. Actively market and represent the credit union to the local small business market in order to build awareness, brand image, credibility and new business. Develop and monitor a working relationship with branch management to help develop new business in areas surrounding their locations. Implement ideas to motivate the credit union business lines to become a confident, steady referral source. Analyzes information received, authors Credit Approval Memos, responsible for closing loans and opening business accounts using proper documentation, obtaining required signatures, ensuring accuracy of work and the filing of required documentation. Responsible for administering a loan portfolio, business deposit accounts, and required loan documentation. Belongs to local organizations in order to gain new business and create Credit Union awareness in the local area. Performs other duties as assigned. SKILLS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or 5-8 years of experience in business lending or financial sales. Work requires knowledge of small business and consumer loan policy; credit granting criteria, interest rates and how they are computed, and required documentation for each type of loan. Knowledge of loan interviewing skills and techniques also required. Must have experience in analyzing business financial statements and assessing the viability of businesses; must have excellent communication and PR skills; ability to use related software required. Knowledge of financial statement interpretation as applied to business accounting and financial principles. Demonstrated problem solving and analytical ability, and strong oral and written communication skills. Strong PC skills including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Power Point. WORK SCHEDULE This position works a hybrid schedule. Regular hours are M-F 9am-5pm; plus some evenings and weekends to attend community events. During the initial training period, on-site work will be necessary. The Business Relationship Manager earns a competitive salary, based on experience.
