The Business Development Manager (Key Accounts) position is responsible for expanding current and new client relationships in assigned industries; delivering outstanding customer service to build long-term client relationships; monitoring program performance in meeting client needs; and achieving revenue and expense goals in accordance with Safety Center standards and objectives. Business Development: o Develop strategies to achieve sales goals and maintain a consistent process for reporting results. o Research, qualify, and prepare proposals for new prospects for Safety Center training and professional services in the public sector (counties and statewide agencies) and other vertical markets (unions and apprenticeship programs) as assigned to achieve revenue goals for the department. o Qualify Requests for Proposals (RFPs), develop strategies to fulfill requirements, and collaborate with the C.A.R.E. Team to ensure timely submission. o Build long-term loyalty through regular contact to identify ongoing client needs and provide resources for improving their safety culture. o Industry Partnerships - Reach out to contacts to promote services and learn about new trends in workplace safety. Program Delivery o Input all business development activities in HubSpot / Customer Database as directed to monitor sales/deals and input information needed for client sales. o Collaborate with the C.A.R.E. Team to identify and schedule the appropriate subject matter experts to deliver programs and services, and to ensure a positive client experience. o Provide timely responses to requests for information to complete the invoicing process. o Monitor client feedback and follow up to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Marketing o Utilize marketing channels, including social media, and develop strategies for reaching prospective clients. Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisory responsibilities. Education: Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Other Requirements, Experience and Skills: Ability to travel (Typically within the State of CA.
