BUILD CREW POSITIONS: these positions involve pre production work before event goes live and possible troubleshooting work once the event is live Memoir Agency aims to bring meaning to every place and moment. To do that, we are looking for tenacious, collaborative, and passionate people to join the staff for our 2024-25 season. This year's epic events include our Halloween productions, Happy Frights & Haunting Nights ( https://www.halloweeninthegarden.com/ ), as well as our flagship event Dazzling Nights ( https://www.dazzlingorlando.com/ ). Join us in creating an incredible atmosphere for all ages through our unique immersive experience that even our staff will enjoy! Position: Build Crew Job Description: Working in tandem with other teams on site to complete work that includes multiple departments. Assisting in the setup of all BOH space used for load-out (including any tent builds and shipping container placements) Working within small teams to install both Activation Specific and Non-Activation Specific Assets Assemble prefabricated structures or assets Keep work areas clean and organized, helping maintain the overall cleanliness of the site Pack and palletize assets for assigned activations during load-out, making sure to adhere to Memoir standards Participate in pre-shift and post-shift meetings with the crew to discuss work goals and accomplishments, adding on any key points specific to their work Use basic knowledge of all assigned activations to actively participate in tasks assigned to them Requirements: Ability to to complete physically demanding tasks, such as standing and/or walking for long periods Ability to lift objects without an established maximum weight, though most objects will be below 50 lbs. **Reasonable accommodations may be made to allow differently-abled individuals to perform the essential functions of the job.** Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools (eg. drills, impacts, socket wrenches) Ability to problem-solve, and properly escalate issues as they are encountered in the field Ability to perform necessary and appropriate duties for set-up and load-out in a safe and efficient manner, including the loading and unloading of event trucks. Must work well in a team-based environment, and communicate effectively with team members Must be prompt, and be able to work all shifts as assigned Dates: This is a temporary full-time position: Load-in will begin on August 21st, and ends around 9/10. Changeover takes place from 11/1-11/19. Load-out is from January 6th-17th. Specific dates will be confirmed during the interview process.Pay Details: Starting at $20/hr. Higher rates may be offered for potential staff with significant experience. Build crew will work approximately 40 hours per week during install and strike periods. Payments will be made weekly.
