Located eight miles from downtown Pittsburgh, in the heart of the South Hills, St. Clair Country Club is searching for a motivated, reliable, and passionate full time Broiler Cook. Our Team is committed to providing expectations of excellence in the highest quality dining, social, entertainment and recreational experiences to its 870 members and their families and guests. St. Clair Country Club offers multiple private dining and reception areas including the Ballroom that seats up to 240 people, the Crossroads Room which seats up to 100 people, the Alibi Room which seats up to 50 people and the Library that seats up to 30 people as well as 4 Ala Carte Restaurants. Job Title: Broiler Cook Employment Status: Full Time - Including Weekends and Holidays plus Overtime opportunities 1 pm - 9/10 pm, Tuesdays - Sundays Expected Rate: Based on Experience between $18-$22 an hour Required Education, Experience, Certifications: Associates degree in Culinary Arts and/or equivalent professional experience Sanitation Standards Certification or the ability to obtain within 2 weeks Experience Broiling/Flattop techniques, dicing, classical veg cuts, proper seasoning, meat slicer, Robot Coupe, steamer, fryer, Mandolin, slicer, various ovens, broilers, various knives, other kitchen equipment Knowledge of proper food preparation and safety technique Working knowledge of equipment and supplies Attention to detail and passion for cooking Team player Ability to stand long periods of time, walk, reach, bend, talk, hear, see, lift/move up to 50 lbs, work near moving mechanical parts and equipment, sharp blades, hot surfaces and noise levels. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepares and ensures Steak/Protein preparation to the standards of Chef/membership Follows established food presentation techniques and standards to ensure consistency Prepares orders timely and to high quality Monitors quality of product and presentation Conducts daily review of production needs and completes "mise en place" Maintains proper stock of wares Controls costs by practicing proper use of inventory and supplies Maintains proper food handling and storage techniques Follows proper opening/closing procedures Ensures that work area and equipment are clean, organized and sanitary Maintains safety in work area according to local and state standards including sanitation, food safety, and hygiene standards Other duties as assigned Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision Hourly pay starts at $18-$22/hour, depending on skill level and experience Golf privileges on certain days (with management approval) Free staff meal 401K Paid Time Off
