As a Broadcast Technician/Engineer at Pegasus Studios, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our cutting-edge broadcast equipment and technology. Join us in our mission to deliver top-quality broadcasting services to our audience, utilizing your technical expertise to bring our creative visions to life. In this role, you will manage the broadcasting of government meetings from a local television studio and ensure the proper upkeep of broadcast equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with Ross video productions, including Ross video switchers and Ross Xpression for graphics. This is a part time position 26 hours per week. As a valued member of our team, you will have the chance to work in a collaborative environment that fosters growth and innovation, all while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Santa Barbara, CA. Responsibilities:Operation:• Set up, operate, and maintain television broadcast equipment. Record broadcast programs, operate on-air CG graphics, and program television replays according to schedules. Technical Support:• Provide timely troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of equipment to ensure uninterrupted broadcasts. Quality Assurance:• Maintain equipment records, track issues, and uphold quality control standards for seamless broadcasting. Collaboration:• Work effectively in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with colleagues to enhance the broadcast experience for staff members. Communication:• Exhibit clear and concise communication skills with staff, maintaining a professional work environment and adhering to a business casual dress code. Qualifications:Experience Required:• Previous experience in broadcasting, live streaming, and audio/visual operations is essential.• Familiarity with local City, County, and State government public meeting workflows and processes.• Experience with broadcast equipment such as Tricaster, Ross Carbonite, Ross Xpression, TelVue, Blackmagic ATEM, Leightronix, Granicus, and Zoom.• Experience in live events, videography, and web streaming.• Professionalism, reliable transportation, punctuality, and a commitment to scheduled dates are non-negotiable attributes.
