United Nissan Reno is currently looking for an Automotive Contracts/Billing Clerk to join our team. The Billing Clerk is responsible for accurately recording the sale, profit, and commissions payable on all sold units and for maintaining an accurate accounting of vehicle inventories. Our ideal candidate has some post-secondary education (degree, coursework, or certification) and at least one year of experience as a Contracts/Billing Clerk for an automotive dealership. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment handling multiple projects and must have excellent communication, administrative, organizational, and computer skills. Automotive Accounting and Dealertrack experience is preferred.Responsibilities• Examines contracts to ensure conformity to specified requirements and audits car deals for corporate documentation standards• Verifies all documents are signed and completed properly• Processes paperwork in a timely manner• Issues checks for lien payoffs and submits to financial institutions• Reconciles monthly schedules• Posts inventory-related payable invoices• Provides administrative assistance as needed• Performs other duties as assigned• Perform basic and routine accounting functions associated with billing vehicle deals• Post bank proceeds to general ledger• Auditing car deals to ensure compliance with all company regulation• Process contracts and related vehicle sales documentation, insuring accuracy and timeliness• Build and maintain excel spreadsheets for sales commissions• Other duties as assignedQualifications• High school diploma or GED required; some post-high school education or training preferred• One year of relevant experience• Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite• Strong math skills• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress• Strong organizational and time management skills• Strong attention to detail and interest inaccuracy• Highly professional and dependable• Automotive Accounting and DealerTrack experience preferred
