Benefit Administrator Houston, TX, USA Req #310 Tuesday, July 2, 2024 Primary Responsibilities: * Assist employees with questions surrounding benefit plans and options * Validate benefit invoices against employee rosters * Ability to exercise critical thinking to interpret benefit rules * Involvement with benefit plan design and implementation * Assist with new hire enrollment and annual open enrollment periods * Coordinate with internal and external customers, such as agencies and benefit plan administrators * Maintain in-depth knowledge and expertise in employee benefits services, makes recommendations on pending legislative actions regarding benefits, conduct benefits research, responds to benefits issues, and answers benefits queries * Analyze the flow of employee benefits data and develops internal procedures, guidance, and training for staff to facilitate the timely and accurate update of employee information and benefits records. * Ensure compliance with Federal and State laws, including, but not limited to Affordable Care Act, Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPPA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), etc. Qualifications: * Minimum of 5 years benefits administration experience * Associate's degree or above, preferred * Advanced Excel abilities * Critical thinking skills & Customer Service * Bilingual (Spanish), a plus Other details * Pay Type Hourly
