Our successful hotel is seeking a dedicated banquet manager who is eager to provide our guests with an unforgettable event experience. You'll work directly with guests to book banquet space and provide options that meet their needs and budgets. We require someone with exceptional leadership abilities to manage banquet staff and ensure that our hotel services are of the highest quality. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with 3+ years of hospitality experience, preferably in a management role, and an unwavering commitment to client satisfaction. Responsibilities: • Strengthen a customer-focused banquet event department continuously by developing policies, procedures, quality standards, and cost-cutting measures• Coordinate the daily operations of the banquet area and ensure you are providing an exceptional level of service by purchasing supplies, managing event space set-up, and setting proper staffing levels for events• Document the outcome of each event to assess and make improvements on future events and processes• Communicate with customers to go through banquet event choices that fit their budget and go over any modifications, questions, or concerns to guarantee a great product is delivered• Relay all event orders to on-site banquet staff members so they are made aware of their duties and responsibilities Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree in hospitality management preferred• Over 3 years experience managing a team in a hospitality role, preferably in a food service capacity • Display excellent communication skills with clients and coworkers • Proven customer service experience as a manager; strong guest-focused mentality• Strong computer skills, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) are needed About Company: Across from the University of Delaware, this all-suite hotel offers spacious 2-room suites, along with many free and modern amenities, including free WIFI, evening reception, and free parking.
