GENERAL DESCRIPTION : Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices, in an aviation hangar. The Tools and Parts Attendant does the following keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers, searches for lost or misplaced tools, prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed, unpacks and stores new equipment; visually inspects tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects DUTIES: Maintain records of tools and equipment issued and returned manually or using a computer Locate lost or misplaced tools and equipment Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, manually or using a computer Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment and requisitions stock to replenish inventory Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear, visually or using micrometer, and reports damage or ear to supervisors Repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment May deliver tools or equipment to works, manually or using handtruck. May mark and identify tools and equipment, using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking tool Reconciles activity records for monthly and quarterly reporting and status reviews. Processes data inquiry and manager referred listings and cards. Manages controlled, critical and reserve stocks and operational readiness floats. Must demonstrate knowledge of military technical manuals and able to qualify for equipment operators license. Other duties as assigned EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least three years of related experience in Supply Logistics. Experience with current Army STAMIS preferred Must have strong written and verbal communication skills Must be a US Citizen Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance Proficiency in MS Office Suite as well as Costpoint is required Experience with TcMax or other tool control software desired. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day. Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands, working at heights with fall protection devices. Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds and carry for short distances Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear. Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
