Position Summary: Auxiliary Operator III is the final level operator where skills will now be enhanced. This is still a position where you will continue learning operations of both Proof Testers. You will continue learning Laclede standards of quality for product produced at Laclede and vigilantly inspect for those standards. You will now complete the training in the proof test area by learning all paperwork related with the Proof Test area. Focus: Proof Test Operator Key Duties and Responsibilities: Continue to learn and stay aware of safety aspects within your work area as well as various safety concerns throughout the Form & Weld Department. Learn and stay conscientious to quality aspects of the product. Continue to improve skills for all pertinent paperwork and checks to be performed in your work area. Continue to improve skills with both Proof Testers , so you can easily move between both Proof Testers. Read and understand the daily production sheet. Continue to improve skills and understanding of a Job Traveler. Continue to develop skills of selecting Job Traveler and PMT based on the daily production sheet. Select Job Traveler based on the daily production sheet. Correlate the Job Traveler with the PMT on the bin box of chain. Setup and adjust either Proof Tester for production based on the two previous steps. Proof test while maintaining pull tolerances according to product specifications and inspect product for quality issues. Preform QC tests and measure proof tested product in accordance with ISO standards. Maintain cleanliness of machines and housekeeping of work area. Good work ethic-efficient, effective, accurate, organized, conscientious, dependable, punctual, etc. Ability to meet company standards (i.e., goals and objectives, production quotas, project deadlines) while maintaining a quality conscientious attitude. Adaptable-capable of changing with the work environment, production demands, priorities, methods, direction, etc. Motivated and takes initiative. Innovative/Resourceful Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience Required Qualifications: Mechanical skills or demonstrated ability to learn mechanical skills, ideally within a manufacturing environment. Must be able to use or learn to use measuring instruments such as calipers and rulers. Must be able to use hand and power tools. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Physical Demands/Work Environment: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, or crawl. Must be able to lift, pull, or push 50lbs, at times may be asked to lift more. Environment is non-climate controlled. Production floor is typically loud. Must wear all required PPE.
