Motivated automotive professional wanted for Installer Technician role in Ocala, FL - Training provided Are you looking to take your mechanical and electrical know-how and apply it to a new job? We're looking for automotive professionals with the capability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems using hand tools, to join our service team as mobile accessories installers. Training will be provided to the right person. You'll be mounting audio and safety features in customer vehicles, troubleshooting audio systems, plugging in amplifiers, head units, and speakers to doors, and making sure the customer's needs are met. We require the following abilities and experience for the Installer Technician role: • Interfacing of all types of Mobile 12-volt electronics• Familiarity with digital multimeters and their use in automotive accessories• Experience using computers to solve problems• Alarm installation• Installation of Various lighting systems• Configuring safety and collision avoidance systems• Fitting of the backup camera interface• Integration of audio products• Installation of speakers, car stereos, amplifiers, and digital sound processors• Diagnosing and problem-solving• Technical adeptness• Basics of mechanics with a good mechanical skill set• Knowledge of audio systems• Logical thinking Responsibilities:• Work within the team environment with other installers and managers to diagnose and service vehicles needing an audio and safety upgrade• Install audio and safety products that are assigned to you• Ensure a personal commitment to ongoing education• Possess a high level of self-initiative and self-motivation• Be able to work with remote tech support agents to troubleshoot issues Qualifications:• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for effective interaction with team members and customers.• The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting is essential for this role.• Strong creative problem-solving skills are necessary to address challenges related to automotive audio and safety installations.• Attention to detail is crucial to ensure precision and accuracy in the installation process.• Proficiency in connecting various types of 12-volt electronics is a fundamental requirement.• Understanding and experience with CAN and MOST networks are needed for seamless integration of electronic components.• Skill in using digital multimeters is essential for diagnosing and troubleshooting automotive accessories.• Knowledge of utilizing computers to locate solutions is important in resolving technical issues efficiently.• Proficiency in alarm installation is a key aspect of this role.• Experience in installing lighting components is valuable for enhancing vehicle aesthetics and functionality.• Understanding safety and collision avoidance systems is crucial to ensure the well-being of drivers and passengers.• Ability to install and interface backup cameras is necessary for enhancing vehicle safety.• Experience in audio integration is important for providing customers with high-quality sound systems.• Proficiency in connecting amplifiers, head units, and speakers to doors is essential for a complete audio installation.• Capability to set up speakers, stereos, amplifiers, and digital sound processors is required for comprehensive audio upgrades.• Custom fabrication skills are needed for creating unique and personalized installations.• Experience with table saws and routers is important for precision cutting and shaping of materials.• Proficiency in working with fiberglass, body filler, and paint is crucial for customizing vehicle interiors.• Car upholstery skills are necessary for completing interior installations seamlessly.• Troubleshooting capabilities are essential for identifying and resolving technical issues efficiently.• Basic mechanical aptitude is required to handle mechanical components during installations.• Familiarity with audio systems is important for understanding and integrating sound components effectively.• Commitment to safety is paramount in ensuring the well-being of customers and their vehicles.• A detail-oriented approach is necessary to ensure precision and accuracy in all installations.• Customer service skills are important for providing a positive and helpful experience to customers.• Accuracy and troubleshooting abilities are crucial for diagnosing and resolving technical issues effectively.
