Diagnoses and treats the patient's hearing and balance problems, using advanced technology and procedures. Job DutiesConducts and Interprets diagnostic testing and comprehensive audiologic evaluations.Counsels patients regarding hearing aids and provides hearing aid evaluations and fittings.Investigates and studies the underlying causes, precipitating factors, and symptomatic behavior of impaired speech patterns. Monitors condition of equipment and calls appropriate repair/maintenance personnel when necessary.Evaluates hearing disorders to determine diagnoses and courses of treatment.Evaluates psychological information to measure the impact of hearing loss on a patient.Conducts research related to the causes and treatment of hearing and balance disorders.Attends meetings related to patient diagnostic evaluation, treatment and contributes to discussion as an interdisciplinary team member.Minimum QualificationsMaster's Degree in Audiology 3 years experience in an audiology setting Ability to conduct assessments and provide treatment interventions. Ability to build comprehensive reports and effectively convey information to others. Knowledge of contemporary audiology practices. Skill to identify and treat hearing and other auditory disorders.
