Practice Area: Workers' Compensation Law - General,Workers' Compensation Law - Employers,Workers' Compensation Law - Claimants,Workers Compensation, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, A law firm is seeking an Attorney to advocate for injured workers throughout the New York State Workers' Compensation claim process in Larchmont, NY.Job Details:Advocate for injured workers throughout the New York State Workers' Compensation claim process.Offer comprehensive legal support to clients, guiding them toward fair compensation.Manage legal documentation and represent clients effectively in hearings and negotiations.Keep abreast of evolving laws and regulations within the workers' compensation sphere in New York State.Duties:Conduct thorough legal research and analysis related to Workers' Compensation claims.Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.Represent clients at hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients when appropriate.Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding their rights and options under Workers' Compensation laws.Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on complex cases and legal strategies.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law in New York State, or capable of obtaining licensure promptly.Demonstrated interest in workers' compensation law for recent graduates; solid track record in workers' compensation or related fields for experienced attorneys.Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Education and Certifications:J.D. from an accredited law school.Admission to the New York State Bar, or eligibility for prompt licensure.Skills:Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.Strong legal research and writing abilities.Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases effectively.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Proficiency in legal research tools and technology.
