Reporting to the Head Registrar, Exhibitions, the Associate Registrar will have direct responsibility for managing and coordinating crating, packing, transportation, couriers, insurance, and condition reports for international and domestic loan exhibitions. The Associate Registrar will be responsible for developing and maintaining exhibition-related registration budgets, working closely with Exhibition Management to update projections. Responsibilities: Oversee the care and welfare of art objects on loan to the Museum, and traveling exhibitions while in storage, transit, or on exhibition Review and update standard practices, policies, and procedures regarding the management of exhibitions; encourage collaboration among staff Oversee exhibition installation and deinstallation schedules, working closely with Exhibition Management to inform overall schedule Work with other departments to resolve museum scheduling issues Assist the Head Registrar, Exhibitions, in developing overall museum exhibition schedule including opening and closing date of shows Assist colleagues with exhibition activity, as needed Performing gallery checks on a rotating basis Requirements: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred 7 years of experience in best practices in museum Registration; experience with living artists preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must maintain current passport and be able to travel. Must be able to pass background checks form airlines and government agencies Competency in Microsoft Suite and Access Knowledge of Google Docs Editor Suite, Microsoft Teams, Asana, QuickBooks, Adobe Photoshop, and TMS desirable Compensation & Benefits : Estimated salary range of $70,000-$75,000 per annum Medical, Dental, Vision, 403(B) elections Generous PTO benefits Commuter benefits - parking and mass transit Admission to world-renowned museums across the city and nationally Pet insurance and discounted membership for Citibike This position may be covered by UAW Local 2110 The advertised pay scale reflects the good faith minimum and maximum salary range for this role.
