Associate, Private Equity Sponsor Coverage Group - Commercial Banking (Toronto, ON) Purpose Contributes to the overall success of the Private Equity Sponsor Coverage Group in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. The Associate is responsible for contributing to the profitable growth and quality of the Bank’s Commercial Credit portfolio. This includes highly complex and customized financial solutions by supporting the Director and Associate Directors, Private Equity Sponsor Coverage Group in credit application write-up, collecting and assimilating information necessary to make credit decisions, conducting financial modelling (financial and credit analysis), and supporting the “Deal Team” with company and industry analysis. The Associate may have direct contact with clients and will assist the Director and Associate Director in all aspects of their business development activities. Accountabilities: Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. Contribute to Commercial loan portfolio growth and profitability by: • Performing analytic functions, along with other due diligence activities on deals • Assisting with the execution of transactions (deal write up, analysis activities in Moody’s Financial Analyst [MFA] and the Borrower Risk Rating model) • Completing risk backssments and developing recommendations as to the appropriate course of action • Analyzing and processing amendment requests • Researching credit and bank service requirements of existing and prospective clients • Building financial models • Conducting several.
