The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling civil litigation cases and possess excellent research and litigation skills. This role involves managing a caseload, conducting legal research, and representing clients in various stages of litigation.Job Responsibilities:Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters from case intake through trial or settlement.Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.Prepare and argue motions before courts, including motions for summary judgment and other pre-trial matters.Participate in discovery efforts, including drafting and responding to discovery requests and conducting depositions.Develop and execute litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and clients.Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on case progress and advising on legal strategies.Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel when appropriate to resolve disputes efficiently.Stay updated on changes in civil litigation laws and legal precedents that could impact client representation.Requirements:3-5 years of experience in civil litigation.Strong background in handling a variety of civil litigation matters, including but not limited to personal injury, contract disputes, and property law.Excellent research and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.Proven litigation skills, including trial preparation, courtroom advocacy, and negotiation.Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively represent clients and interact with opposing counsel and judges.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar is required.Certifications (Preferred):Certification or coursework in litigation or trial advocacy is beneficial but not required.Key Skills:Expertise in civil litigation, including trial preparation and courtroom representation.Strong legal research and analytical abilities.Client management skills with the ability to explain legal strategies and case progress.Negotiation skills to facilitate settlements and dispute resolutions.Ability to handle a diverse caseload and work both independently and as part of a team.This position offers an excellent opportunity for a civil litigation attorney to join a dynamic law firm in Norristown, PA, with the chance to handle a wide range of civil litigation cases and further develop trial and negotiation skills.
