The Role: Assistant General Manager - The Last Hotel, St. Louis, MOOur boutique hotel, housed within the historic International Shoe Co. building, is a testament to St. Louis's rich industrial heritage. The Last Hotel seamlessly blends the past with the present, boasting stunning Neoclassical and Art Deco features alongside modern comforts. Located in the heart of downtown, near the Washington Avenue Garment District, our hotel is a symbol of culture and growth in the city, including a stunning rooftop bar that provides breathtaking views.Position Overview: We are seeking an innovative and guest-centric Assistant General Manager with a strong focus on driving revenue and repositioning the hotel. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in operations, strategic planning, and enhancing the hotel's market position, with a special emphasis on maximizing the potential of our rooftop venue.What You'll Do:•Hotel Repositioning:oLead efforts to reposition the hotel in the market.oDevelop and execute strategic marketing and branding initiatives.oCollaborate with the team to enhance the hotel's unique value proposition.•Rooftop Operations:oOversee the operations and promotion of the rooftop bar.oCreate and implement events and promotions to attract guests to the rooftop venue.oEnsure exceptional service and a unique guest experience at the rooftop bar.•Guest Experience:oEnsure the highest standards of guest service and satisfaction.oAddress and resolve guest concerns promptly.oImplement and maintain guest service programs to enhance the overall experience.•Operations Management:oAssist in daily operations and overall hotel management.oMonitor operational performance and improve efficiency.oEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations.•Team Leadership:oLead, mentor, and motivate the team.oConduct training and development programs.oFoster a positive and collaborative work environment.•Financial Management:oAssist in developing and managing budgets and financial reports.oMonitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures.oOptimize revenue through strategic planning and effective management.•Stakeholder Collaboration:oBuild relationships with guests, vendors, and partners.oCoordinate with other departments for seamless operations.oRepresent the hotel at industry events and networking functions.Who You Are:•Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred.•Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality management with a focus on revenue generation and repositioning.•Proven track record of driving revenue growth and successfully repositioning hotels.•Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.•Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office.How to Apply: Submit your resume and cover letter to XXXX@maverickmgt.com.
