Greater Valley YMCA is looking to hire an Aquatics Director! ABOUT GREATER VALLEY YMCA Greater Valley YMCA is a charitable, nonprofit organization committed to strengthening our communities through membership and programs that foster youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility for all . Aquatics Director Salary : $45,000 - $50,000 annually Aquatics Director Hours : Tuesday - Saturday, schedule varies daily (Full Time) Aquatics Director Responsibilities : Directs and supervises program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives. Establishes new program activities and expands program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans. Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel and volunteers as needed. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Monitors daily pool operations and maintanance, to adhere to all state, local and YMCA health and safety regulations. Conducts lifeguarding, swim instruction, First Aid and CPR trainings. Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in program. Models relationship-building skills in all interactions. Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints. Serves as manager on duty as assigned and performs duties of lifeguard and swim instructor as needed. Aquatics Director Qualifications : One to two years of related expeirence preferrred; such as an Aquatics Coordinator or Supervisor. Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent Current Lifeguard Certification and ability to maintain certification Ability to flex schedule Must be a minimum of 21 years of age Minimum 4 years of experience working with children in a professional child care setting; ages 2-6 Requirements within 30 days of hire include completion of: Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; Working with Program Volunteers; Professional Rescuer CPR; First Aid; AED; oxygen administration, Bloodborne Pathogens. CCompletion of YMCA program-specific and trainer certifications YMCA Swim Instructor certification, ARC or YMCA Lifeguard. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
