Job Title: Air Import Supervisor Job Location: Miami, FL As an Air Import Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of employees in the gateway operation. This position will be based at our Miami, FL location. Key Responsibilities: * Ensures compliance with all operational procedures and regulations. * Schedules and monitors handling of incoming consolidations and or shipments, and disposition of consolidations. * Ensures follow up with airlines to verify consolidations have arrived. AMS compliance between carriers and our system. * Assists gateway manager in distribution of work * Acts as gateway subject matter expert and trains employees on gateways procedures * Trains and develop employees as needed * Ensures continuous improvement processes to increase efficiencies, reduce waste and improve performance to our customers * Liaisons with all related vendors to ensure highest level of service is achieved * Work with US customs and other US regulatory agencies to insure release of cargo. * Experience with bonded documents. * Ensure timely pickups with airline carriers to avoid storage accumulation. Skills / Requirements: * Working knowledge of gateway/warehouse operations. * Good interpersonal and leadership skills. * PC software Application skills (Excel, Word, Notes) * Knowledge of US Import Regulations * Knowledge of ports and world geography * Knowledge of 7512 * Maximization of margin through effective ULD build-up * High school diploma or GED * 3-5 years related experience and/or training Why join DHL Global Forwarding?
