Midland University, a small, private four-year college in Fremont, Nebraska (just outside of metro Omaha), seeks an exceptional adjunct faculty member to teach our Principles of Strength and Conditioning course in an in-person format. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering in-person class activities, developing engaging online materials and assessments, providing timely feedback on written assignments, responding to student inquiries within 24 hours, and meeting with them individually as needed. Courses are offered in 16-week terms. Term begins in August. This 3-credit course is scheduled on-campus TR 12:30-1:50 pm. Qualifications: ● A master's degree in Exercise Science, Strength & Conditioning, or a closely related field (Ph. D. preferred) ● A minimum of 3 years of professional work experience, teaching at the college level or teaching/ training adults is highly preferred The ideal candidate should demonstrate: ● A desire to use innovative instructional techniques ● A willingness to collaborate with peers ● A genuine interest in student development ● An ability to work with diverse student populations ● Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster a collegial work environment that encourages change and innovation, and an ability to interact effectively and work productively, cooperatively, and collaboratively with a variety of individuals and groups Compensation/Benefits: ● Wages paid on a per-course basis commensurate with education, experience, and individual strengths ● An engaging, respectful, and productive working environment Job Posted by ApplicantPro
