Adjunct Instructor - Environmental Studies

Start Date: August 2024 Dordt University is currently seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach three-credit, in-person courses in environmental studies. Responsibilities: Teach one of the following courses: CORE-211: Creation Care and Environment/ ENVR-151: Intro: Environmental Studies (one course, course-listed) CORE-222: Energy Materials and Environment/ ENVR-152: Intro: Environmental Studies II (one course, cross-listed) Articulate the university's Reformational Christian perspective and mission within the context of teaching, in alignment with the curricular design set forth in The Educational Framework of Dordt University . Qualifications: An earned master's degree or equivalent experience in environmental studies or a related field is required. A commitment to excellence in college-level teaching is required. Acknowledge Christ's lordship over all of life and express an active Christian commitment, which shall include identification with a local organized church that holds to beliefs that are consistent with the mission of the university. Oral and written communication skills and interpersonal abilities that enable effective collaboration with students, faculty and staff, community members, and other professionals.
