We continue to grow and are looking for hardworking individuals that can contribute to our already great fintech company culture as we traverse new and exciting areas that require excellent problem solving skills. Role:- Accounting Analyst- Full Time W2 Location:- New York City, NY Salary:- $50,000 - $70,000 Responsibilities:- Provide accounting support by preparing and posting journal entries to the Firm’s General Ledger (Sage Intacct) and Subledger (Broadridge ShadowSuite). Support the broader firm finance function covering external reporting, tax requests, financial planning, and related functions. Review customer deposit and withdrawal requests, submitting them for approval by the Treasury Supervisor. Assist with daily cash balance and security position reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and maintaining relevant documentation. Contribute to the production of End of Day activity files, ensuring accurate reporting of cash balances and security position data. Adhere to monthly reporting schedules across the accounting, treasury, and operations teams. Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field required. Proficiency in financial reporting concepts including journal entries, trial balances, and financial statements. Interest and ability to understand financial transactions types including the movement of cash/investments as well as earning revenues and incurring expenses. Passed the FINRA SIE and Series 99 exams or willingness to pass both within 3 to 6 months of hire (company-sponsored). Experience in the Financial Services industry is a strong plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving skills. Team-oriented and self-directed .
