Summary POSITION SPECIFIC DETAILS: Hours: 40 hours/weekStatus: Part YearLocation: Stoughton, Wisconsin SUMMARY The 4K Lead Teacher/Site Director will provide a safe and nurturing environment for children that encourage their social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. Duties This person will plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for enrolled children living in low-income, at-risk environments. Will ensure the provision of quality, comprehensive child development services including education, health, nutrition, parent involvement, and necessary family support services and referrals; follow Head Start performance standards, Reach Dane policies and procedures, DCF Childcare Licensing requirements, YoungStar and/or City of Madison (if applicable); maintain positive relationships with parents, children and coworkers and community partners. The person will provide supervision and performance feedback for reporting staff. Requirements Must possess a minimum AA degree in Early Childhood, and/or bachelor?s degree in early childhood education, or Elementary Education or related degree that includes 18 credits specifically related to ECE. DPI certification in ECE or related DPI certification is required within one year of the start date with an educational plan thereafter Benefits Health, dental, vision vacation and sick time 4% 403(b) match after 2 years company paid life insurance and long term disability no weekends or holiday work including Flexible spend accounts About Us Reach Dane provides high-quality early childhood services to over 1,000 underserved children ages 0-5 in Dane County through center based and home visitation programs. Our staff work tirelessly every day to reach the most vulnerable children and families in our community, and the need for our services is growing. The number of infants and toddlers experiencing homelessness enrolled in our programs has tripled over the last four years. Last year, Reach Dane served more homeless children than any other Head Start program in Wisconsin.
